Konika McPherson, LMFT
Director of Clinical Services
Konika, LMFT is a seasoned behavioral health and substance abuse professional with decades of experience supporting individuals and families navigating addiction, recovery, and co-occurring mental health challenges.
Konika specializes in maternal mental health, family and relationship dynamics, and the intersection of multicultural identity with how people cope with stress, trauma, and substance use. Through a trauma-informed, culturally responsive lens, she has led behavioral health teams and substance use treatment programs, helping to shape inclusive, high-quality services that prioritize equity, dignity, and long-term recovery.
With deep experience in both clinical care and leadership within substance abuse treatment settings, Konika is passionate about creating spaces where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. She integrates a multicultural, feminist, and justice-centered approach, addressing the systemic forces — such as racism, sexism, and stigma around addiction — that often impact clients’ healing journeys. Her work has focused on fostering resilience, restoring agency, and supporting clients in building healthier, more connected lives.
Although she has lived and traveled all over, she now returns to her roots in San Anselmo. Spending time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, gardening, creek walking and knitting are some of what she appreciates most.
