Angie Christiansen
Case Manager
With over a decade of experience in the field of substance use disorder treatment, I bring both professional dedication and personal passion to my role as an Admissions Counselor at Serenity Knolls. My journey began in Los Angeles, where I worked as an Academic Coordinator with teenagers in a residential rehab setting. I later transitioned to working as counselor with adults at an outpatient facility, further deepening my understanding of the recovery process across different stages of life.
Over time, I discovered a strong desire to support individuals at the very start of their recovery journey. This led me to admissions work, where I now have the privilege of being the first point of contact for new clients. I believe that how someone is welcomed into treatment can shape their entire experience, and I’m committed to creating a safe, friendly, encouraging, and compassionate environment from the moment they arrive.
I’m currently in the final stretch of completing my master’s degree in psychology. I love the incredible team I work with, and being afforded the opportunity to see each client transform their lives starting at day one, until completion of the program, gives me tremendous joy. When I’m not at Serenity Knolls, you can find me stand-up paddling, going on runs, attending AA meetings, or spending quality time with my beloved three-legged Shih Tzu rescue dog, Pearl.
