Our New CEO, Danielle Roeske

The staff at Serenity Knolls is comprised of some of the most accomplished professionals in the world of addiction and recovery. And while our team is made up of a group of therapists and support staff with diverse backgrounds and varied expertise, we all share a commitment to excellence in treatment and compassion in care.

Recently, we were joined by a new CEO, Dr. Danielle Roeske, and we could not be more pleased to have such an accomplished colleague and empathic clinician in a leadership role at Serenity Knolls. Dr. Roeske has had diverse experiences in the realm of addiction and mental health. From her early days as a tech, to her time spent as a Clinical Director, program developer, therapist, and supervisor, she has had experience in all the key touch points of a patient’s recovery journey.

In her years of work with individuals and families, she has touched countless lives and gained an intimate understanding of the science of addiction and the most effective tools for recovery. Blending both cognitive behavioral therapy and contemporary psychoanalysis, Dr. Roeske is an authority on the latest in the scientifically-backed treatment modalities that yield the most beneficial outcomes.

As such, Dr. Roeske’s expertise is highlighted in a recently published book entitled “Capture: Unraveling the Mystery of Mental Suffering” by David A. Kessler (former commissioner of the FDA). This popular book explores the way that trauma can shape a person’s identity and behavior, and in one of the final chapters, Dr. Roeske describes finding hope in a strengths-based approach to healing – one that she brings with her to Serenity Knolls.

Serenity Knolls helped not only my husband – but our whole entire family. We go back every year during the holidays to visit and not a day goes by where we are not grateful for where we all are now.
