Highly Trained, Tenured Staff

Jason Palmer, RADT

Counselor, Assistant Program Director

Jason began his career in recovery at Serenity Knolls in 2022, as a driver, before being promoted to the position of Counselor later that year.  He was promoted again in May of 2023 to Assistant Program Manager at Serenity Knolls.  Jason now manages the evening and weekend counselors and oversees the safety and structure of program operations on evenings and weekends. He is a Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician (RADT).

Jason was born in Chico, CA and lived there most of his life before moving to Marin in 2021. His own struggles with addiction and the new way of life he has found in Narcotics Anonymous have made him a strong believer in the principles of 12-Step recovery.  Jason discovered his passion for helping people find sobriety when taking meetings into institutions through NA’s Hospitals and Institutions (H&I) Program. The NA philosophy of “being of service” continues to be an important calling in his life. Jason approaches his job with a zealous work ethic, modeling change through compassion, empathy, and boundaries to promote growth and happiness of Serenity Knolls’ residents.

While Jason is just beginning his career, he plans on furthering his education and knows that anything is possible, as long as he continues to focus on what is directly in front of him, just for today.
